 Extension Program Resources-Community Development 1996

I. Title of Program or Issue: Relates to following Strategic Plan Product(s) Service on the Frontline

A. Situational Statement: Public agencies who have to implement unpopular regulations face constant public acrimony and discontent.

B. Description/Educational Objectives: To enable public service employees who are required to implement regulatory policies with an understanding of how they can improve their customer service while simultaneously enforcing public policy. The program is in three parts that can be used separately or as a series.

C. Suggested Time Required for Program: 2 hours per module.

Suggested Time of Year: Any time of the year.

D. Audience and Level of Offering: County Building and Zoning and Health Department employees.

E. Teaching Methods, Resources, Costs: Lecture, video, role-playing.
